Exciting News: We Are Now a 4-star Guest House

After a busy year of thoughtful upgrades and improvements, we’re proud to now be a 4-star guest house. From refreshed rooms and added comforts to an improved breakfast experience, every change has been made to help our guests feel relaxed, comfortable and at home.

We are so proud and excited to share some wonderful news with our guests – after a very busy and rewarding year, we are officially a 4-star guest house! This upgrade reflects not just a new rating, but months of dedication, improvements, and attention to detail, all with our guests’ comfort in mind.

A Year of Improvements

Over the past year, our guest house has been a hive of activity. We’ve listened carefully to guest feedback and invested in thoughtful renovations and upgrades to enhance both comfort and style throughout the property.

Here’s what we’ve been working on:

Pool & Outdoor Areas - Added new and additional sun loungers by the pool, giving guests more space to relax and soak up the sunshine. A full repaint.
A refurbished deck for the Studio Room, creating a more comfortable and inviting outdoor space to unwind. A bigger gas BBQ/braai and new sunlounges.

Refreshed Interiors -The entire guest house has been freshly painted, giving everything a clean, modern feel.
Selected rooms now feature beautiful hand-painted wall art, adding character and a unique personal touch.
Upholstery upgrades throughout, including couches in the Deluxe and Studio Rooms, as well as the dining room chairs, for added comfort and a refreshed look.

Comfort & Convenience Upgrades - New ceiling fans installed in the rooms for improved comfort and a new air-conditioning unit in the Studio Room for enhanced comfort year-round. 
Fridges added to all Standard Rooms for extra convenience. New hairdryers in all rooms.
Nespresso machines introduced so guests can enjoy great coffee whenever they like.

Technology & Entertainment - Upgraded Wi-Fi connection providing faster, more reliable internet throughout the guest house. New DSTV decoders with a larger channel package, giving guests more choice and better entertainment options.

Breakfast Has Gone Up a Notch - With our new 4-star status, we’re delighted to offer an even more generous and varied breakfast experience: A cold meats and cheese selection added to our breakfast offering. Greater variety in our hot cooked breakfast options, giving you more choice to start your day just the way you like it. Of course, we haven’t changed the favourites our guests know and love. We continue to serve our homemade pancakes, preserves, freshly baked bread, rusks, and other baked treats – all lovingly prepared right here at The Potting Shed.

What This Means for Our Guests

Becoming a 4-star guest house is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, but more importantly, it means an even better stay for our guests. From improved comfort and upgraded facilities to thoughtful details and an enhanced breakfast experience, every change has been made with you in mind.
